Privacy policy

This privacy policy describes which personal data we process when you visit teqable.com, use our forms or apply to us, why we do so, whom we pass data on to and what rights you have.

It applies equally to our websites product-owner.ch, design-2-cost.ch, learningmachines.ch, emv-check.ch and riskanalysis.ch. What is said here about "the website" applies to all of them unless stated otherwise.

The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) governs. For persons in the European Economic Area the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies in addition, as far as its scope reaches; we name the GDPR legal basis with each processing.

This is also the address for every data protection request.

Visiting the website

Hosting and server logs

Both websites are hosted by Metanet AG, Zurich, in Switzerland. On every request for a page or file the web server records in a log: the IP address of the requesting device, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, the status code, the page visited before (referrer), and the browser and operating system (user agent).

We use these logs to run the website securely and reliably, to investigate faults and to fend off attacks. They are deleted after 30 days at the latest and are not combined with other data. The GDPR legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts, images and videos

Fonts, images and videos are served from our own server. Merely visiting the website loads nothing from Google Fonts, YouTube or any other third party.

Links to other websites

Our pages link to third-party websites. Their operators are responsible for their content and data processing.

Cookies and consent

The website itself sets two cookies, both for six months: teqable_consent stores your choice in the cookie dialog, teqable_consent_map whether the map of our location may load. Both are necessary to run the website and cannot be switched off. They contain no data by which we could recognise you. product-owner.ch, design-2-cost.ch, learningmachines.ch, emv-check.ch and riskanalysis.ch show no map and set only teqable_consent. Each website asks you itself, and your choice applies only to the website on which you make it.

All other cookies and transfers to third parties, described in the next two sections, happen only once you agree in the cookie dialog on your first visit. Without your consent the services concerned are not loaded. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link at the foot of every page; the withdrawal takes effect from then on. If we change the services or this policy materially, we ask you again.

Statistics and marketing

We load the following services only if you have agreed to "Statistics and marketing" in the cookie dialog. The GDPR legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads

The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Tag Manager loads the two Google services. It sets no cookies of its own but transmits your IP address to Google when it loads. Each website has its own Tag Manager and its own Google Analytics property, whose data we evaluate separately.

With Google Analytics we measure how our website is used: which pages are viewed, how often and for how long, from what kind of device and from which region, and individual events, namely clicks on our e-mail addresses and phone numbers and the submission of a form, and on product-owner.ch also whether half of a page was read. Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* for two years, truncates the IP address before storing it and makes the data available to us in aggregated form only. We do not connect it with you as a person.

With Google Ads we place advertisements in Google Search. Conversion tracking sets the cookie _gcl_au for three months and reports to Google when a visit that came through an advertisement led to a contact request, a quote request, a meeting request, an application or a click on one of our e-mail addresses or phone numbers. We do not learn who you are, only how many requests and clicks our advertisements produced. We also use remarketing: Google adds your visit to audiences in our Google Ads account so that we can show you advertisements later, and sets its own cookies for this. To do so, Google links the data from Google Analytics with Google Ads.

Google may transfer the data to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the EU standard contractual clauses apply in addition. Further information is in Google's privacy policy.

Leadfeeder

The provider is Dealfront Group GmbH, Durlacher Allee 73, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany.

Leadfeeder recognises from the IP address whether a visit comes from a company's network and shows us that company with the pages viewed. This tells us which companies are interested in our services. To do so Leadfeeder sets the cookie _lfa and processes your IP address and the pages visited. Individual persons are not identified; visits from private networks and internet providers are not attributed. Further information is in Leadfeeder's privacy policy.

Our agency

The Google Analytics, Google Ads and Leadfeeder accounts are managed on our behalf by OMGroup GmbH, online marketing agency, Zurich. It sees the reports of these services and is bound by contract to our instructions and to confidentiality.

External content: Google Maps

The map of our location on the home page and the service pages of teqable.com comes from Google Maps, a service of Google Ireland Limited. It loads only when you click "Load map" or agree to "External content" in the cookie dialog; until then we show our address in its place. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and sets its own cookies. The GDPR legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). For the transfer to the USA, what is said above about Google applies.

Contact, quote, meeting, download and quiz requests

Through the contact form, the quote request form and the meeting request forms on product-owner.ch, design-2-cost.ch, learningmachines.ch, emv-check.ch and riskanalysis.ch we collect your first and last name, your e-mail address, your phone number and your message. A quote request adds the service you are interested in and, optionally, your company, its website and up to five PDF documents you wish to give us. A meeting request adds, optionally, your company and a preferred date. On riskanalysis.ch, your company and, optionally, whether your product contains digital components are added.

For a download on riskanalysis.ch we collect your first and last name, your e-mail address and, optionally, your company. If you ask to be contacted at the end of a quiz on riskanalysis.ch, we collect your first and last name, your phone number, your e-mail address, optionally your organisation and, in the CRA quiz, your question, together with your answers in the quiz. If you finish a quiz without asking to be contacted, nothing is sent.

The data is transmitted encrypted and delivered as an e-mail to team@teqable.com. Nothing of your data remains stored on the web server, and your IP address is not sent along. To protect against abuse we check for automated submissions and limit the number of requests per sender; for this the web server keeps your IP address in pseudonymised form for one hour.

We use the data to answer your request, to arrange a meeting, to prepare a quote and to contact you after a download. The GDPR legal basis is the preparation of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the request while we handle it. If it leads to a business relationship, it becomes part of the business correspondence we must retain for ten years under Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations; otherwise we delete it once it is settled.

The same applies to requests you send us by e-mail or make by phone.

Applications

Through the application form we collect your first and last name, your e-mail address, your phone number, the discipline you are interested in, your message and up to five PDF documents such as your CV and certificates. Transmission and the protection against automated submissions are the same as for contact requests; the application is delivered as an e-mail to jobs@teqable.com.

We use the data solely to assess your application and to run the recruiting process. The GDPR legal basis is the preparation of an employment contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If no employment follows, we delete your application six months after the process ends, unless you allow us to keep it longer for future openings. If employment follows, the application becomes part of the personnel file.

The same applies to applications you send us by e-mail.

E-mail

Our e-mail runs on Google Workspace of Google Ireland Limited, which acts as our processor. Messages you send us or that our forms generate are stored there and may reside on Google servers in the EU and in the USA; for the USA, what is said above about Google applies.

Disclosure and transfers abroad

We pass personal data only to the recipients named in this policy: our hosting provider, Google, Leadfeeder and our agency, each for the purposes stated. We do not sell data.

Data thereby reaches the EU and the EEA, whose data protection the Swiss Federal Council recognises as adequate, and the USA. For the USA we rely on the recipient's certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, for persons in the EEA, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, supplemented by the EU standard contractual clauses.

Data security

The connection to both websites is encrypted with TLS, including everything you send through our forms. Only the staff who handle them have access to the requests and applications received.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us whether and which personal data we process about you and to receive that data in a common electronic format. You can ask us to correct inaccurate data, to delete data or to restrict its processing, and you can object to a processing. You can withdraw a consent you have given at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing up to then.

For all of these, write to team@teqable.com or to the postal address above. We may ask for proof of your identity before providing information.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Persons in the EEA may turn to the supervisory authority of their place of residence.

Changes

We adapt this policy when our website or the services we use change. The version published here applies.
